Our role and each campaign’s role

This site is a media platform and project portal, not a pooled donation collection point for multiple projects. Gia Han’s individual page leads to Stripe Checkout; the Malaysia project offers CAMPFIRE and a separate direct Stripe donation page. Website and information-sharing support is accepted on /en/donate and recorded separately. Direct Stripe donations do not count towards CAMPFIRE totals or rewards. Review each purpose and its conditions.

Gia Han is a medical support project operated and coordinated by Support Circle’s co-representatives Sakai Kenzi and Uemura Manabu. The campaign uses Stripe’s hosted payment page.

Rebuilding the animal shelter in Ipoh, Malaysia

Support Circle manages the Japan-side campaign, with contributions accepted through CAMPFIRE. The project owner manages funds and plans to use them for repairs, materials, equipment and other necessary expenses in consultation with Noah’s Ark Ipoh Animal Welfare. This differs from making a single unrestricted donation to the local organization.

Service and payment fees may apply. Check current campaign conditions on CAMPFIRE through the project page. Spending and completed construction will be reported after verification.

How Gia Han funds move

Step 1 — Review the purpose, currency, amount and conditions on the Gia Han project page.

Step 2 — Enter payment information on Stripe’s payment page.

Step 3 — Confirm receipt of funds after fees and confirm any onward transfer to the beneficiary.

Step 4 — Verify and report actual use for treatment and related care where information is available.

This describes the intended process, not a report of completed transfers or spending. A payout from Stripe and an onward transfer are separate stages.

Payment services and possible costs

Gia Han uses Stripe; choose an amount on the project page and enter payment details on the hosted Stripe page. There is no card-entry field on this website.

Possible costs include payment-processing fees, currency-conversion costs, payment-network charges and transfer costs. Rates depend on currency, method and service agreements. We do not publish an unverified uniform rate. Verified costs will be explained in financial reports.

If you want details of the receiving party or transfer arrangements before supporting, contact supportcircle.jp@gmail.com. We do not publish unconfirmed account names, transfer dates or amounts.

The amount paid is not necessarily the amount ultimately received, transferred or spent after fees. We explain use of funds using records that can be confirmed.

How the funding meter is calculated

The Gia Han meter automatically totals successful payments through Support Circle’s Stripe Checkout. Repeated notifications for the same payment do not add another donation. Refunded or disputed amounts are excluded. The total is before payment and transfer fees; it is not a receiving-bank balance or a completed-transfer total.

USD is converted to VND using a reference exchange rate, with the rate date and amounts by currency shown. This estimate differs from actual conversion or settlement amounts. Exchange-rate movements may change the percentage.

The previous site’s displayed 9,000,000 VND is excluded until reconciled with financial records. Actual amounts and percentages continue to be displayed beyond 100%.

Intended use for Gia Han

Treatment: necessary specialist treatment and directly related medical costs.

Follow-up: appointments, tests and continuing care after treatment.

Reasonable related costs: prescribed medicines and travel necessary for treatment.

Allocation may change with medical needs and circumstances. Important changes to the use of funds will be reported on the project page or in activity reports after verification.

What reports will include

Verification dates and sources, distinguishing public-information summaries from information confirmed with people or activity participants.

Separate financial stages: payments, payouts, transfers and spending, with confirmed dates, currencies, amounts and costs.

Medical or local activity progress after new facts are confirmed, respecting consent and privacy.

Important changes and corrections. Reports are added when verified new information is available; we do not claim completed transfers or medical outcomes without publishable evidence.

Currently available reports

Current reports introduce published Gia Han campaign information and our reporting policy. This site does not yet contain a new report confirming completed transfers or spending.

Refunds, receipts and tax relief

Review each campaign’s terms and the payment service’s conditions for refunds. Contact us promptly if you notice an incorrect Gia Han payment; refund eligibility requires individual review.

We do not describe Support Circle as a registered NPO corporation or public-interest corporation eligible for tax advantages. We do not guarantee tax deductions or official tax-deductible donation receipts.
